Landfill is formed by combining Wedge, Heavy Load, Hightower, and Grimlock. Wedge forms the torso, while the other three can form either a single leg or both arms using a unique interlocking armature. Landfill’s "hands” are simple claws formed from Heavy Load/Hightower’s feet or Grimlock’s treads, and each has a hole that allows for the "hand” to hold one of the three limb-bot’s removable accessories. The third accessory then snaps onto Landfill’s back in different locations depending on which figure forms the arms, a feature that was omitted from Hasbro’s instructions. Wedge’s double-barreled gun becomes Landfill’s, er, codpiece. In Takara’s Car Robots line, Landfill’s components were available in a Build King multi-pack, while in Hasbro’s markets they were sold separately. The Hasbro versions had a few colour changes from the Takara releases. Also, the Takara box set included a bio/tech spec card for Build King only.
Sonokong also released this gift set in Korean markets with no differences to the Takara release other than the packaging.
