Although it was released in 2005, when the 2003 TV series was in its fourth Season, the game was based on the third season. After a certain period of play in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: 3 Mutant Nightmare, the player may unlock Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time, an older video game in the series made by Konami.
