The Macallan Harmony Collection celebrates the possibilities of repurposing natural materials in packaging and of creating beauty from our own resources.
Supporting this ethos, oak chippings which are a by-product created while making casks for The Macallan, are in the presentation box and the bottle labels. Of great significance to The Macallan, it is their wood, fashioned into oak casks, that makes our whisky so special.
The spirit, created by The Macallan Whisky Mastery Team, is matured in a combination of first fill sherry seasoned American oak casks and refill casks. These have been carefully selected to deliver the classic American oak flavours of vanilla, citrus and sweet oak, naturally derived from the cask during maturation, with a medium, sweet finish that delicately lingers.
