Title:
Ghost Rider
Synopsis:
Yes, true believer, the rumors are true... Danny Ketch is back! But whose side is the former Ghost Rider on, and what familiar faces has he brought with him to the party? And who just got shot in the head with a hellfire shotgun? For those answers, plus more than your daily recommended dose of supernatural action, don’t miss this first installment of the team-up you never imagined and the showdown that had to happen!
FLASHBACKS: Sister Sara leaves the Sacred Heart Convent after experiencing a dream in which God showed her that her grandfather’s in danger (p). Ghost Rider (Ketch) punches Blackout (GR #44, ’93).
Danny Ketch, alongside a new Orb and longtime foes Blackout, Doghead and Death Ninja, arrive at Caretaker’s Tennessee shack to attack Danny’s former ally. As they advance on the shack, Caretaker fatally shoots Doghead with Johnny Blaze’s old hellfire shotgun. Orb and Death Ninja chase Caretaker inside the shack, but Orb trips a trap that plunges a nail-studded board into his eye and Caretaker shoots the Ninja dead. Blackout douses the lights and sinks his claws into Caretaker, but Caretaker stabs Blackout with the Ninja’s sword. Danny orders Blackout to back off, and demands to know why Caretaker concealed Heaven’s role in the Ghost Riders’ origins. Caretaker retorts that his job was to safeguard the Riders’ origins, not the Riders themselves, and that Danny becoming Ghost Rider was an accident. Danny joins Blackout outside as the shack burns, set ablaze by hellfire, and tells him they still have to raid the shack’s basement. Meanwhile, a trucker drives Sister Sara to the cemetery, and Sara smashes his head through his truck’s window when he gets overly affectionate. She flees the truck, only to run into the path of Johnny Blaze’s motorcycle.
