After leaving the Army, Brian Flanagan tries to get a marketing job in New York but without a college degree this is not possible. He then decides to start studying for a business degree at the local City College and he gets a part time job as a bartender to make some money. He realises that bartending isn’t as easy as it seems, but when his new boss Douglas Coughlin teaches him the secrets of being a successful bartender they soon become the most famous bartenders in New York. Brian wants to open his own cocktail bar someday so in order to get the necessary money to open it, Brian travels to Jamaica to work as a bartender in a posh resort where the money is a lot better. While he is there he meets Jordan Mooney, a young and pretty, up and coming artist from New York who is on vacation there and they spend time together and they fall in love. But when his old buddy Doug turns up one day he dares Brian to sleep with a very wealthy older woman who is staying at the same resort he is working so perhaps afterwards she will give Brian the money he needs to open his bar back in New York, however Jordan who herself comes from a wealthy family see’s the two together and leaves the island and gies back to New York. Will Jordan ever forgive Brian and get back together? and Will Brian ever be able to open up his own bar?
