Synopsis:
Legs waxed. Lips glossed. Gun ready. When a serial killer indicates that his next target is the Miss United States beauty pageant, the F.B.I. decides to go undercover with an agent as a participant in the contest. Special Agent Gracie Hart (Sandra Bullock) is the agent who goes undercover posing as Miss New Jersey, a hopeful young woman eager to be the next Miss United States. But Gracie doesn’t have a beauty-pageant bone in her body. Although the pageant administration, led by former winner Cathy Morningside (Candice Bergen) and long time host Stan Fields (William Shatner) provide the FBI with access to the pageant, Cathy in particular is less than thrilled to have a non-credible Gracie posing as a contestant which she feels will ruin the pageant. The FBI enlist the assistance of former pageant contestant coach Victor Melling (Michael Caine) who has the frustrating task of turning the bumbling agent into a poised beauty. From big laughs to sly quips, Miss Congeniality delivers!!
