Synopsis:

This fascinating, warts-and-all, cautionary tale on superstardom and fame explores the life and unsolved death of TV’s Superman, George Reeves (Ben Affleck), told from the perspective of Louis Simo (Adrien Brody), a private investigator hired by Reeves’ mother shortly after his death from a single gunshot to the chest. Ruled a suicide, Reeves’ death caused controversy in and around Hollywood, where popular theories related his death to either his fiancé, starlet Leonore Lemmon (Robin Tunney), or his “special” relationship with Toni Mannix (Diane Lane), the wife of mob-connected MGM head Eddie Mannix (Bob Hoskins). Or was Reeves just depressed over being typecast as a comic book hero? Shot in the style of film noir, audiences embark on a journey into a mystery that remains just that...a mystery.
