The Superman figure is part of the first wave of figures in the Super Powers collection produced by toy manufacturer KENNER between 1984 and 1986.
As it was one of the first wave of figures, it was reissued in subsequent years, although the first edition with the "12-back” cardboard box is the most sought after by collectors. This box contains an image of the first twelve figures in the collection on the back.
Like the other figures in the Super Powers line, the Superman figure comes with an "action feature.” When pressure is applied to the legs, the arms move as if punching.
