Part of the fifth wave of Siege Deluxe Class figures, Crosshairs is a new head retool (based on the character model used in the Marvel comics and Generation 1 cartoon) of Ironhide that transforms from robot to Cybertronian van and back. In keeping with his mold-mate Ironhide’s height in the Generation 1 cartoon, Crosshairs is a full head taller than the other Deluxe figures of the same line. His "W-35 LR Doomblast Forge Launcher,” compatible with the C.O.M.B.A.T. System and capable of converting into a large hammer, is colored to resemble Pinpointer. As with most Siege figures, Crosshairs features "battle damage” paint applications, though they’re limited to his feet and grill. He also features multiple hardpoints all over his body and weapons to accommodate "Fire Blasts” from the Battle Masters assortment, which can be used to simulate blaster fire or explosions.
Thankfully, this iteration of the Ironhide mold lacks the easily-popped-off panels on his shins. Unfortunately, his knees come looser as a trade-off.
If one chooses, Crosshairs can be paired with Legends Pinpointer or War for Cybertron Trilogy Pinpointer.
Though designated for a first quarter 2020 release, Crosshairs’s wave reached U.S. store shelves in December 2019.
