The Masterpiece Movie Series figure of Megatron is a large (12” tall), complex, mostly screen-accurate mold, and for the first time in years is based on his appearance in the 2007 film rather than the sequels, transforming into a Cybertronian jet mode. Both his weapon gimmicks are based on his removable hands: he includes a rubber ”chain” piece which can connect either hand to its wrist to represent the flail he used to wreck Sector Seven’s base, and his transforming gun can plug into a single wrist in its smaller ”handgun” form, or into both wrists in its extended ”fusion cannon” form. His gun can also plug into the chain in order to represent the flail head. Although his hands have nowhere else to store when removed, they do not need to be removed for transformation, and both weapons have dedicated storage in robot and vehicle modes. He also includes a smallish silver-painted AllSpark cube, which can fit into his red translucent innards to represent his death at the end of the first movie. Like several other movie Masterpiece figures, he has an articulated jaw.Exercise caution while transforming him into both modes: as many of his parts are painted, some of the sections are prone to chipping.
