The Wizard of Oz and his Emerald City Playset (Item No. 51511): The first playset released for the Wizard of Oz line, this accessory recreates a rather generic version of the Emerald City. The playset is constructed of printed cardboard sealed within surface-washable clear vinyl. It features a “peep-hole” in the front gate, a gray curtain which can be pulled back to reveal the Wizard’s control room, and a stylized disc, featuring different avatars for the Wizard, which can be rotated, presumably, to suit the Wizard’s mood. The playset came with several accessories: a spinning crystal ball, a throne chair, a 45″ folding simulated “Yellow Brick Road,” a two-part cardboard apple tree, and the Wizard figure.
