Tin Woodsman (Item No. 51500/2): The second in the line of Wizard of Oz figures, this item recreates the character of the Tin Man (denoted here by Mego as the “Tin Woodsman”) (Jack Haley) from the film. The Tin Woodsman comes on a standard male Mego body with silver hands. His outfit is comprised of a gray bodysuit, which is in turn covered by several pieces of “tin” plating: the arms and thighs each have a silver, tubular, soft plastic piece of armor, while the torso is completely covered by a large, silver, fused-hard-plastic abdominal piece. The Tin Man’s famous “heart” is represented by a small sticker on the abdominal plating (which is rather cheap and unfair, considering that both the Scarecrow and the Cowardly Lion got their diploma and medal (respectively) made out of actual plastic. A pair of silver, soft plastic boots completes the ensemble. His only accessory is an axe, which is made up of two pieces, the handle (brown) and the blade (silver).
