After putting an opponent to sleep with his Million Dollar Dream finishing move, DiBiase would often leave $100 bills stuffed in their unconscious mouths for their troubles. Although his gold-studded, dollar sign-emblazoned suits might have suggested otherwise, DiBiase was shrewd with his fortune. He bought out Superstars’ contracts, bought his way into the 1989 Royal Rumble, and ultimately created his very own title. Although the solid gold, jewel-encrusted Million Dollar Championship has never officially been recognized by the WWE, it became a huge part of the Million Dollar Man’s lavish legacy.
