Masterpiece Bumble transforms into an officially-licensed Volkswagen Type 1 Beetle. As with other figures in the Masterpiece line, he is intended to be an accurate representation of his cartoon model. Roughly as tall as a Deluxe Class figure, he is also in scale with MP-10 Optimus Prime in robot mode (making his car mode very out of proportions with the other Masterpiece cars), and can fit inside Prime’s trailer in vehicle mode. In contrast to larger entries in this line, Bumblebee lacks die-cast parts, and his tires are cast in hard, non-rubberized plastic. Additionally, following the trend started with Wheeljack, his side mirrors come detached out of the box, and can be found separately packaged inside the instruction bag. Accurate to the real-life Type 1 Beetle, he only has one mirror, on the driver’s side; an extra is included in case of loss or breakage.
