Bombshell (Legends Class, 2015)
Combiner Wars Bombshell is a new mold based on his Generation 1 character model, still transforming into a robotic rhinoceros beetle. Plus he got his name back! Bombshell includes a collector card featuring art from the "Junkion Reunion” episode of Transformers Legends. His hand holes are sized for 5mm accessories. The lower pair of arthropod legs mounted on his robot-mode legs can fold in further than the upper pair, but this causes them to interfere and prevents him from standing fully.
Bombshell was probably meant to have a third "weapon” mode like the rest of the new-mold Combiner Wars Legends Class figures, but instructions for this mode have never been released. There’s nothing stopping you from working it out for yourself- a stable configuration probably involves pegging his arms together to form the barrels of the gun, then rotating his waist and flipping one of his knee pegs to form a handle. As this mode is combiner-scaled, good luck getting a Deluxe/Voyager Class figure to hold it without falling over. If you can dream, you can have his fellow Insecticons use him as a giant Power Ranger/Super Sentai-esque team blaster.
Though Bombshell’s wave was scheduled for a first quarter 2015 release, it arrived on U.S. store shelves in late 2014.
