Title:
Transformers Titans Return Scourge And Fracas
Description:
Fracas & Scourge (Deluxe Class, 2016)
Accessories: Fracas, 2 handguns
Part of the first wave of Titans Return Deluxe Class toys, Scourge transforms from a robot to spaceship and back.Scourge’s head can transform into the Titan Master Fracas, who can either drive Scourge in vehicle mode, pilot Scourge’s larger weapon, or plug into the vehicle mode’s tower for a Floro Dery-inspired mode; this mount point is specially sculpted for Titan Master heads. As a result of the toy’s construction, Scourge can be transformed into vehicle mode without removing his head, leaving it somewhat hidden on the vehicle’s backside.Scourge comes with two hand-held weapons—a handgun based on his original toy’s headpiece, and a double-barreled weapon. They can also combine into a larger three-barreled gun. The double-barreled weapon can be piloted by a Titan Master. Two pegs for standing Titan Master figures are located on the nose section, though the detailing in those spots limits them to facing either forward or backward at a specific angle. His vehicle mode also has four sculpted blasters on its underside, formed from his shin panels. Behind these are two 3mm peg holes, which can mount some Legion class weapons. He has two 5mm peg holes to mount his weapons in vehicle mode.Because many of the tabs in the legs plug into slots with one open side in the legs, Scourge’s vehicle mode can end up with a gap in the nose section. There is an error in his stock photo due to being a rendered 3D model instead of the actual toy; the shin pieces colored blue in robot mode but white in vehicle mode. The model also has smaller eyes than the final toy, and shows the swivels in his knees being clear. The toy also features a minimal amount of paint apps in robot mode, resulting in a nearly monochromatic color scheme.Scourge also suffers a design flaw: the clamp piece that connects his Titan Master’s head mode is too wide, and it’s prone to make the head wobble.Scourge can also use the Siege Fracas Battle Master if one is inclined to have two Fracases.Despite the available premise of army-building for Sweeps, Scourge was a commonly-found shelfwarmer of the Titans Return toyline.
