Title:
WOLFWIRE And Monxo
Description:
Deluxe Class
2016
Accessories: "Monxo” Titan Master, gun, tail/sword
Part of the second wave of Titans Return, Wolfwire (new name due to trademark issues) transforms into a robotic wolf. He comes with his Titan Master partner Monxo (copyright got on his name, too), who can fit in a seat on Wolfwire’s beast mode rump or another seat inside the gun as well as transform into his robot mode head. As with other Titans Return toys, Wolfwire can accommodate any compatible Titan Master figure. However, his neck slot sits a little low on his shoulders leaving most Titan Masters (besides Monxo) with a fairly loose connection to his torso. In an undocumented feature, Wolfwire’s chest can fold down, similarly to the flip-open Tech-Spec panel of his original toy. While not in the instructions, this allows access to push out his hindquarters during transformation to beast mode. Unlike most Deluxe Class figures from the Titans Return line, Wolfwire’s two weapons do not combine together to form a vehicle or weapon platform for Titan Master figures.Wolfwire comes mistransformed in-package, with the ankles turned backward in the wolf-mode configuration, though this can also work as the robot mode’s feet.Due to being right up against soft, translucent red plastic, the yellow plastic of Wolfwire’s cockpit will start to break at the hinge over time. The issue is fairly common and occurs to some degree on most, if not all copies of the toy. Thankfully, that same soft, translucent red plastic keeps the cockpit secured to its pin.The Hasbro Asia exclusive giveaway sticker sheet can be used to enhance the figure’s details. Wolfwire was reissued for the fifth wave of Deluxes alongside the new Misfire, Twin Twist, and Windblade. The aforementioned cockpit issue was not fixed in this new batch.
