Part of the third wave of Titans Return Deluxe Class toys, ”Autobot Breakaway” is a retool of the second wave’s Chromedome, with a new face based on Alex Milne’s Getaway design from More than Meets the Eye. His packaging art features a head sculpt based on Chromedome, most likely a result of the artist working from incorrect reference material. He transforms from a robot (based on Chromedome’s appearance in the ”Shadowplay” story) to futuristic car and back. Breakaway’s head can transform into the Titan Master Throttle, who can either drive Breakaway in vehicle mode or pilot Breakaway’s larger weapon, which can also attach via tabs to the roof of the vehicle mode. The toy shares some engineering with Combiner Wars Dead End while not actually sharing any parts. It does reuse several parts from Titans Return Blurr, including the thighs and kneepads, smaller rifle, and the Titan Master’s robot mode.Some of the instructions were erroneously packaged with Titans Return Hot Rod.
