The potential for mass production has loomed over The Art Army® since its 2002 inception. I never wanted to be the anonymously discredited sculptor of an even cool-looking toy. Most production companies offer only lame royalties and distribution. Production costs are a hurdle. My biggest concern was the quality of the product itself. These questions have been mulled at length in sleepless minds and discussed in depth with trusted confidants. I’m happy to say that all my questions are answered by the fine folk at FCTRY, my production partners (formerly Jailbreak Collective) on this piece. My highest expectations have been one-upped. We spent over two years developing every facet of the production. I designed and sculpted the diorama, figure and master prototypes. It’s a blessing to be so proud of both the product and the process. It’s especially gratifying to release a superior-quality affordable version of my work.
NOTE: THIS IS A LIMITED EDITION VINYL TOY. THIS IS THE FIRST AND ONLY VINYL ART ARMY TOY. ALL OTHER ART ARMY FIGURES ARE SCULPTED FROM SCRATCH IN WOOD AND POLYMER CLAY.
