James Bond has never been able to resist a pretty face - even when it masks a killer. Such was the case with Xenia Onatopp, the professional assassin recruited by the traitorous British Intelligent agent Trevelyan, once known as 006. The sultry and exotic Xenia played a key role in Trevelyan’s plans to steal the Russian military’s GoldenEye weapons system, with which he hoped to destroy London and hold the world for rànsom. The seemingly indestructible Xenia was dispatched to steal a state-of-the-art heavily armed Tiger helicopter from the French Navy. She was also instrumental in the wholesale destruction of a Russian satellite base and the murder of it’s inhabitants. Trevelyan later assigned Xenia to track down the only man capable of stopping him; his former best friend and fellow agent James Bond. Although she had every intention of carrying out her mission of assassination, Xenia was clearly attracted to 007 and mingled romance with a deadly game of cat-and-mouse. Bond was unable to resist her charms...to a point. Although he enjoyed matching his wits with his short-time lover, he did not hesitate to send Xenia to her death during their final confrontation in the "GoldenEye” mission. Dutch actress Famke Janssen gave a memorable performance as the sultry, but deadly killer Xenia Onatopp. The character became one of the most popular of the notorious Bond villains, due in no small part to her exotic manner of dress and her unique method of assassination (crushing her victims with her iron-like thighs).
