Super GoBots Leader-1 was released by Tonka in the second series of GoBots, and converts from robot to McDonnell Douglas F-15 Eagle fighter in 6 steps. The toy was a repackaging of Big Eagle Robo from the Big Machine Robo series, with no significant changes. While essentially a scaled-up version of the smaller figure, retaining the same rough transformation, the larger Leader-1 is generally sleeker and features retractable tricycle undercarriage but unfortunately the robot mode puts a lot of weight on the tailfins and rear wings, meaning these parts can also stress and break over time. The figure also included a sheet of oversized USAF stickers which don’t really fit very well.
