Title:

Scavenger

Description:
Scavenger (Basic, 2000)

Part of the first wave of Beast Machines Basics, Scavenger transforms into a Cybertronic treaded destruction vehicle. A plunger mechanism on the back of the "shovel” opens and closes the vehicle’s crusher jaw. Its spark crystal is located in the "control tower” behind a flip-down panel. This mold was also used to make Robots in Disguise Scavenger.

Notes

Although the early Beast Machines concept art for Scavenger is very similar to the final product, his original color layout implies a lot more paint applications in his crane-neck area.
Scavenger had the preliminary name of Destructicon.
From what can be inferred by his original toy bio and all of his Beast Machines-related fictional appearances, Scavenger seems to be the only Vehicon who isn’t a general.

Function:

Demolition Drone Motto: "The road to ruin is short when I’m driving."

Perhaps Megatron’s most horrific invention ever is his army of programmable drones which unquestionably serve his every wish. Falling under Tankor’s charge of specialized tank drones, Scavenger’s application is focused on one thing: brute force. Heavy armor makes Scavenger practically unstoppable. Galva- conductors on his back channel deadly electric currents. Enjoys nothing more than getting out and wrecking something.
