Title:
Arcee Carded
Description:
Arcee (Deluxe Class, 2014)
Series / Number: 02 / #021
Accessories: Large gun, small gun, two swords
Generations Arcee is the holy grail that, after 28 years, many thought would never happen. Originally scheduled for March 2014 in the Thrilling 30 subline of Generations along with Chromia, Arcee was delayed to Fall of that year.
Based directly upon her original Generation 1 character model, Arcee transforms into a "futuristic” pink and white sports car. She is armed with two guns, and a pair of translucent blue swords that pay homage to her Animated and IDW incarnations; all four weapons each feature several universally-sized rectangular pegs that allows them to be tabbed into multiple matching ports in her fists, forearms, hips, shoulders, and the sides and rear of her car mode. Additionally, her two guns can store beneath her car mode, though this is not mentioned in her instructions. The smaller gun is not depicted in Arcee’s original stock photography, but is instead featured in a stock photo of her wave-mate Chromia. This was most certainly due to a mix-up error; the gun’s design, especially the size and shape of its handle and additional pegs (which are identical to those of Arcee’s other weapon), make it very obvious that it was always intended to go with Arcee rather than Chromia.
There was a running change to the sculpt, with the first release having her fists rounded closed, with longer thumbs, whereas the later version has them in an open position, with shorter thumbs. Unfortunately, an added protrusion at the lower end of the later version’s hands prevents the handles of her weapons from being fully inserted.
Thanks to her transformation, a secondary pair of joints in her thighs allow for an extended degree of leg poseability, including being able to achieve a cross-legged pose.

Overall care should be taken when handling Arcee, due to the fact her paint is highly susceptible to chipping and flaking off. The areas most prone to paint damage are the pink paint on her thighs, and the white paint on her car’s grill.
This figure was retooled into Legends Nightbird Shadow and redecoed as Figure Subscription Service 5.0 Lifeline and Street Fighter II × Transformers Chun-Li. Her weapons were also used for Figure Subscription Service 4.0 Impactor.
