Generations Hot Spot is an Asian market and Toys"R"Us-exclusive redeco and retool of Universe Inferno with a new head, transforming into a fictional firetruck based on the 2002–2007 Pierce Contender series of trucks. He is armed with a non-removable arm cannon with a spring-loaded "water blast” projectile. As with Solar Storm Grappel, the bars on top of his shoulders have been enlarged so that they work with 3mm clips. The vehicle panels on Hot Spot’s forearms can rotate 180° in order to get them more out of the way. This is a feature not documented in the instructions or shown in the image to the right, but it is shown in the package stock photography.
This figure was the model for the non-toy Shattered Glass incarnation of Hosehead. The original version of this sculpt was also used to make Timelines Spark, and it was separately retooled to make Reveal the Shield Solar Storm Grappel. It was then redecoed into United Artfire, using tooling from both the original Inferno version and the newer Grappel version of this sculpt.
