Title:
Cliffjumper with Cheetor
Description:
Cheetor with Cliffjumper (Super-Con, 2003)
Takara release date: September 9, 2003
Available only with her larger partner Cheetor, Cliffjumper is a redeco of the Adventure Mini-Con Team member Ransack, transforming into an off-road pick-up truck of undetermined model. As a Mini-Con, she has a "Powerlinx” socket in the spare tire on her vehicle-mode back-end, which allows her to attach to any toy with a "Powerlinx” style 5 mm post; some toys have special Powerlinx posts that activate/unlock gimmicks when a Mini-Con is attached. This orientation actually makes her one of the better molds to attach to Cheetor’s horizontally-aligned winged-cat-mode Powerlinx plugs.
She has a working winch mechanism connected to a spool and gear system in her torso; the cable, once pulled out, can be retracted by rolling Cliffjumper in vehicle mode, or by attaching her to the gear system on the Armada Cyclonus mold.
As a hasty addition to the Armada toyline to meet demand, Cheetor (and thus Cliffjumper) were not available in Takara’s normal retail Legend of the Microns line. They were, however, offered in Japan as a "USA Edition” release, sold exclusively through Toys"R"Us’s web site.
This mold was later redecoed to make Torque and Payload.
