Part of wave 5 of War for Cybertron: Kingdom Voyager Class toys, Blaster transforms from robot to stereo cassette deck in 20 steps. He comes with his electro-scrambler rifle and Eject, who transforms into a mini-cassette which fits in Blaster’s chest. If you press up on the buttons on Blaster’s stomach, the chest drawer opens; Blaster’s right hand is molded to have a finger extended to help simulate poses of him activating his own buttons. Eject is molded in translucent blue, as Blaster was originally a Legacy toy pulled forward a wave, and that toyline’s gimmick is Energon weapons (and partners). Along those lines, Blaster’s packaging art depicts his Electro-Scrambler being blue Energon painted partly black.Though Blaster and Eject were scheduled for a first quarter 2022 release, they arrived on U.S. store shelves in December 2021.This toy served as the model for the evil version of Blaster in IDW Publishing’s 2021 Shattered Glass comic series.
