In fact, on March 1, 1986, he fought Piper’s nemesis Mr. T in a boxing match, hoping to soften up the movie star. The overconfident Orton let his guard down once too often, and resorted to cheating. That backfired, however, leading to the WrestleMania 2 boxing match of Piper vs Mr. T, with Orton in Piper’s corner.
