Available only with Armada Ultra-sized Jetfire, Comettor transforms into a six-wheeled Cybertronic moon buggy with top-mounted blaster. As a Mini-Con, he has a "Powerlinx” socket on his vehicle-mode underside which allows him to attach to any toy with a "Powerlinx” style 5 mm post; some toys have special Powerlinx posts that activate/unlock gimmicks when a Mini-Con is attached.
He also has a third configuration, forming a front landing strut and under-nose cannon for Jetfire’s shuttle mode.
The Takara Legend of the Microns release of "Sonar” has some slight plastic-hue changes from the Hasbro release, most notably the reds are a bit darker and more magenta-hued, but nothing major.
This mold was also used to make Starcatcher.
