Title:
Woody (Poseable Pull-String Talking)
Description:
The Poseable Talking Woody was Thinkway’s first attempt at a Woody doll that matched both the functionality and appearance of the doll seen in the film. This original release however, featured a wired armature that allowed the doll to be posed, a feature that was omitted in later releases.
The very first release featured a removable, fully plastic hat with a faded brim. As the title on the box suggests, this release also exchanges the movie version’s ragdoll type floppiness for a poseable wired armature. The doll is voiced by Jim Hanks (Tom Hanks’ brother) rather than Tom Hanks, a staple of future Woody dolls. The first edition of this Woody doll is also notable for being the only real life version of the doll to have a pull string ring closer to the size of Woody’s in the films, but was likely changed for safety reasons.
