Part of the fifth wave of Studio Series Deluxe Class toys, ”Clunker Bumblebee” is a redeco of the Studio Series 1976 Camaro Bumblebee, and sports a deco representing the beat-up look he had when first found by Sam, and even comes with a backdrop of Bolivia’s Finest Quality Used Cars and Petting Zoo!
While the deco seemed to be very similar to the giveaway figure released previously, the patterns are slightly different compared to that toy. While most of his paint masks are identical from the first toy, his chest’s stripes and stomach’s yellow and some of the black are omitted like the Charlie Watson multipack, the rear vehicle stripes are shortened, and the entire Stinger Blaster is entirely coated in silver (except the pegs). Some yellow paint is omitted from his forearms, and the painted pegs on the feet that connect with the thighs in vehicle mode are removed. The Autobot symbol on his forehead is also slightly narrower.
This release of the mold finally features the pins for the car roof’s midsection, which prevents it from falling off during transformation.
