Robots in Disguise Grimlock transforms into a green backhoe which, in contrast to his teammates, has relatively realistic proportions. His shovel arm is articulated at the connection joint to the body and the bucket itself, while his cabin can be rotated. In robot mode, Grimlock is armed with his shovel arm, which has a flip-out pincer claw. His claw-hands have no way of holding accessories, so the shovel arm must be mounted on his back. Combined with his team, he can form either the upper body (and arms) or one of the legs of Landfill. Grimlock can also combine with each other if one purchases 3 identical toys.
He was initially released as part of the Takara Car Robots line as Build Hurricane. The Hasbro Robots in Disguise version adds several small paint operations to him for detail, including a large Autobot symbol on his cabin window.
This mold was also used to make Universe Scavenger.
