As a redeco of Rampage’s first deluxe class toy in red, this release of Rampage represents a more movie accurate version of the Rampage who fought Bumblebee in Egypt. Hasbro’s version of red Rampage is a straight colour swap, with his yellow plastic replaced with red plastic. As one of the last two figures released in the Revenge of the Fallen deluxe assortment, the red version of Rampage and his casemate Evac were insanely difficult (if not impossible) to find in U.S. retail stores.
TakaraTomy went much further than Hasbro with their version of red Rampage, dubbed "Decepticon Rampage Desert Combat”; Rampage features redecoing on his shovel blade to match the one used on the Rampage prop vehicle seen in the movie (including horizontal lines to match the slatted look of the prop). The figure also features a more screen-accurate red and yellow color scheme, much like his on-screen counterpart.
