A redeco of Studio Series 06, this Starscream features screen-accurate tattoos, but uses the predominantly tan and dark gray color scheme of the deluxe class Dark of the Moon Starscream as opposed to the more screen-accurate dark metallic gray and gold color scheme of the 2010 Transformers Leader Class Starscream. The figure includes the sawblade accessory that is seen in the stock photos (but not featured in the final product) of the MV1 figure and his eyelids are no longer painted in the same color as his eyes. He also comes with a cardboard backdrop display depicting the climactic forest battle in Revenge of the Fallen.
Oddly, the back of his right leg is left unpainted, even though the stock CG render of the alternate mode depicted on the back of the packaging shows the tattoo deco covering that section as well. Even more oddly, the CG render of the robot mode is missing the tampograph as well.
The figure was released online by Hasbro Pulse well before its brick and mortar release.
