Part of the seventh wave of the Commemorative Series, Hasbro’s reissue of Rodimus Prime was identical to Takara’s 2001 reissue of the figure, featuring metal feet and rubber tires, and no other notable changes from the original figure. The toy did, however, feature an assembly error that saw a portion of the chest being assembled backwards.
The figure later saw a re-release in Hasbro’s Asian markets in 2012, with no known changes to the figure itself and some minor changes to the packaging, such as the addition of a black "choking hazard” warning label.
