Part of the second wave of Legacy Core Class toys, Shockwave transforms from a smaller, mostly cartoon-accurate rendition of the character to a Cybertronian spaceship based directly on his Siege Leader Class figure (due to complicated reasons… though there’s a flip-out peg under the spaceship mode if you really want the gun mode). Shockwave comes with a radar dish, which either plugs into his hand (in an odd manner) as an Energon shield or pegs onto the top of his vehicle mode.
Shockwave’s unpaintable front crotch joint tends to pivot frontward when attempting to move the upper leg parts, caused by the friction of the painted sockets. Similarly, the flip-out peg handle also disconnects the wing panels/main bridge, and the shoulder & forearms’ tabbing if flipped back in place, though this can be prevented if the panel is pressed down while flipping it back.
Shockwave was spotted at a Toys”R”Us in Taiwan in mid-June 2022 before any official announcement from Hasbro.
