Part of the second wave of Transformers: Legacy Deluxe Class toys, Tarantulas is a fairly cartoon-accurate version of the character, with elements taken to make his beast mode look closer to an actual tarantula. Ironically, Tarantulas’s spider mode more closely resembles a wolf spider than it does a tarantula. His accessories include a crossbow, similar to his original toy, and a buzzsaw, evoking his Transmetal design. Tarantulas is also the only wave 2 Deluxe of the Legacy line to not use any translucent plastic in his construction.
