Title:
Road Rage
Description:
Autobot Road Rage (Deluxe Class, 2021)
Hasbro ID number: WFC-K41
Accessories: Missile launcher, blaster
Kingdom ”Autobot Road Rage” is a retool of Autobot Tracks with a new head based on her Masterpiece toy. She transforms into an approximated Chevrolet Corvette ”C3” in 21 steps and, from that, into a flying car in 8 steps, with tail fins based on the Masterpiece toy. The two missile launchers above Road Rage’s head are one accessory that can be hand-held or attached to any of the 5 mm ports as part of the C.O.M.B.A.T. System/F.O.S.S.I.L. Technology. She features 3 mm posts to attach Fire Blast effects. Road Rage’s twin missile launcher can be combined with her blaster to create a triple-barrel gun for her to wield or plug into the top of her car form.
While Kingdom Tracks’s hood flame deco is based on his Sunbow animation model, Road Rage retains the flame deco found on both hers and Tracks’s original toys.
As most of Road Rage’s vehicle mode backpack (comprising the top halves of the car doors, hood, rear window, and rear fenders) is translucent, it is advised to be cautious when transforming. However she does retain the design flaw present in copies of Tracks, where the side panels on the legs frequently untab. Fixes for this include pushing the pin on the leg a tiny bit further in, as well as lengthening the tab via tightening it or using any of the plastic ties included in the figure.
Road Rage was a Target exclusive in the U.S., revealed for pre-order on September 10, 2021, though she was listed on Target’s website a week prior. In October Road Rage was available to Red Card members and listed as ”Coming Soon” to other non-card holders using the Target website or app.
