Masterpiece Movie Series Blackout is a large screen-accurate representation of the character’s CGI model that shares many design cues with his smaller Studio Series toy above. Unlike the Studio Series toy, Blackout features articulated hands, a pair of miniguns for his forearms, and a chest cannon. Additionally, Blackout includes a small-scale version of his main rotor blade as a weapon, much like his on-screen appearance, rather than using the tail rotor like his Studio Series toy. This can be held in either of his hands; though, the method used isn’t entirely accurate to the film, as the rotor sat on the back of his hand.
Amazingly, this rotor blade weapon actually forms part of the main rotor of his alternate mode!
Also included with Blackout are two Fire Blast effects that can plug into either of the miniguns and his chest cannon.
If the accessory/feature count wasn’t already pretty high, an articulated Scorponok minifigure is also included. While extremely similar to his Studio Series minifigure, this Scorponok features more screen-accurate paint details and increased articulation, including the ability to raise his arms and a ball joint on his tail. He can be stored on Blackout’s back in robot mode or in the rear fuselage of his helicopter mode.
