Part of the first wave of Transformers: Legacy Deluxe Class toys, "Decepticon Dragstrip” is a mostly cartoon-accurate version of the character, except for the shoulder pylons that are formed from the the car’s front air dam. He transforms into a close approximation of his Tyrrell P34 Six-Wheeler race car mode in 17 steps. His accessories include two blasters, which can mount on his race car mode or combine side-by-side into a dual-barrel blaster. Dragstrip is also the only wave 1 Deluxe of the Legacy line to not use any translucent plastic in his construction.
Dragstrip combines with his fellow Legacy Stunticon toys to form Menasor. When Dragstrip is attached to Menasor’s right arm, a hidden button on his underside is depressed, releasing a spring-locked latch that allows the figure to split in two at the waist, thereby giving Menasor a full range of elbow motion. As Legacy Menasor is designed with a specific limb configuration in mind, Dragstrip is limited to being Menasor’s right arm, as he’s incompatible with the tabbing system on the left arm intended for Dead End. Due to this design, Drag Strip is also not compatible with any prior systems of combination.
