Title:
Skid-Z With Sideburn And Predacon
Description:
Predacon with Side Burn & Skid-Z (Max-Con, 2003)
Takara release date: September 9, 2003
Available only with Armada Predacon and Side Burn, Skid-Z is a redeco of the Street Speed Mini-Con Team member Spiral, transforming into a Mercedes E-Class luxury car. His car mode wheels are designed to allow for much faster rolling on smooth surfaces. As a Mini-Con, he has a "Powerlinx” socket on his vehicle-mode underside which allows him to attach to any toy with a "Powerlinx” style 5 mm post; some toys have special Powerlinx posts that activate/unlock gimmicks when a Mini-Con is attached.
Predacon was not part of the regular Takara Legends of the Microns line, but was released as a "USA Edition” exclusively through Toys"R"Us Japan’s web site, in Hasbro packaging with stickers to convey legal information in Japanese.
The same mold is used by Servo, and retooled to make Jack. The mold was slated to be released as Energon Clocker, but was ultimately cancelled.
