Available only with Armada Predacon and Skid-Z, Side Burn is a redeco of the Street Speed Mini-Con Team member Backtrack, transforming into a Cadillac XLR luxury car. His car mode wheels are designed to allow for much faster rolling on smooth surfaces. As a Mini-Con, he has a "Powerlinx” socket on his vehicle-mode underside which allows him to attach to any toy with a "Powerlinx” style 5 mm post; some toys have special Powerlinx posts that activate/unlock gimmicks when a Mini-Con is attached.
Predacon was not part of the regular Takara Legends of the Microns line, but was released as a "USA Edition” exclusively through Toys"R"Us Japan’s web site, in Hasbro packaging with stickers to convey legal information in Japanese.
This mold is also used by Redline, and was retooled to make Dice. The mold was slated to be released as Energon Override, but was ultimately cancelled.
