Darkwind (renamed from Darkwing apparently due to trademark reasons) is an extensive redeco of the Ultra Class Universe Silverbolt toy. He and his casemate Countdown were "stealth” exclusive to Toys"R"Us, meaning he appeared in stores before Hasbro bothered to tell anybody about it. Their boxes advertise Hasbro’s included battery brand, Pow-R-Fuel.
Darkwind transforms into a (fictional) FB-129 supersonic fighter-bomber. As an Ultra-scale toy, he comes with various light and sound gimmicks (exactly the same ones as Universe Powerglide and Silverbolt), including a machine gun type sound when one presses the big blue button on the fuselage, and different classic transformation sound effects depending on whether he is being transformed from vehicle mode or vice versa.
This mold was also used to make Universe Skyfall.
