Title:
Flamewar Cyberverse
Description:
Decepticon Flamewar (Cyberverse Legion Class, 2012)
Series / number: 2 / 012
Accessories: friction rifle
Known designers: Joe Kyde (Hasbro)
A redeco of the Prime Cyberverse Legion Class Arcee toy, Flamewar transforms into a motorcycle, and comes with Legion Class Vehicon’s gun/sword (also used by Soundwave) in an ever-so-slightly different shade of translucent purple. The weapon features both pegs and a peg-hole so that it can be combined with other Cyberverse weapons. Likewise, her vehicle mode, which is largely scale-accurate with the Deluxe and Voyager toys, has multiple peg-holes for Cyberverse weapon mounting. In robot mode, she has permanently-deployed battle blades on her arms.
This sculpt was also used to make 2014 Transformers Protectobot Groove.
Flamewar is a clear homage to the Timelines character of the same name, having an obsessive sort of mentality, and using a dark-colored motorcycle with bright accents and a flame deco as her altmode. Additionally, just as the original Flamewar toy used the Energon Arcee mold, so does Prime Flamewar’s toy use Prime Arcee’s mold.
Ben Yee, creator of the original Flamewar, approves of this figure![2]
In the game Transformers Universe, Flamewar was meant to a playable warrior released in October 2014. Unfortunately she was held back from release, shortly after the game declared it was closing down. However her portrait can be found in the game files and Mark Brassington uploaded a render of her model on ArtStation (seen at right).
