For his Hasbro Energon release, Constructicon Maximus could only be assembled by buying all five components separately. However, the team was split up, with Steamhammer, Sledge and Duststorm released in the sixth wave of Energon product, while Wideload and Bonecrusher were released in the eighth and final wave of "Energon Class” toys. This unfortunately led to many consumers having an incomplete Constructicon Maximus for many months, with the tail-ender phenomenon leading many to worry about ever getting the last two at all.
