Velocitron Speedia 500 Collection "G2 Universe Shadowstrip” is a redeco of Legacy Decepticon Dragstrip, done in the colors of the cancelled Generation 2 figure from 1994. The differences between the Generation 2 toy and Shadowstrip are the increased usage of gold paint, less usage of blue paint, and golden flag tampographs on his sides. Shadowstrip comes with two blasters, like Dragstrip. Despite not being called out in the instructions, Shadowstrip can still form an arm for Menasor.
While the Transformers team considers Shadowstrip a new character,Shadowstrip’s designer acknowledges that the toy also works as the Generation 2 version of Drag Strip.
The Velocitron Speedia 500 Collection was exclusive to Walmart in the US and the Farmers department store in New Zealand.
