Packaged with his partner Soundwave, Laserbeak is a robotic condor that transforms into one of Soundwave’s hexagonal bombs. In this form can be stored in Soundwave’s chest compartment, reminiscent of where another Laserbeak spent his nights.
Laserbeak can perch on the tips of Soundwave’s wings in his condor form by inserting the 5 mm post on his tummy into one of the trailing edge holes on Soundwave’s wings. Since Laserbeak was not designed to be a normal Mini-Con, he does not have a Powerlinx adapter, nor does he bear the Mini-Con insignia. Nevertheless, the Hasbro packaging still calls him one.
This mold was also used to make Galaxy Force Hell Buzzsaw and 2008 Universe Blockrock.
