Title:

Dreadwing And Smokescreen Vehicle Mode

Description:
Dreadwing / Stealth Assault (Decepticon, 1994)

Japanese ID number: TRF-10

Accessories: 12 missiles

Generation 2 Dreadwing transforms into a "flying wing” style stealth bomber similar to a Northrop Grumman B-2 Spirit with underslung six-missile gatling cannon. He can also transform into a treaded "tank” mode. In jet form, he can combine with his pack-in partner Smokescreen’s jet mode to make a complete aircraft. For some reason he came with an Autobot-style instruction book that instructed you to put Smokescreen’s forehead sticker on the center of Dreadwing’s face.Dreadwing was sold in parts of Europe (including the United Kingdom) under the name "Stealth Assault”, and in other markets under the name "Ace Evader”. Neither version acknowledged Smokescreen as a separate individual.Dreadwing has an additional fourth mode called the "Dread Roadblock Mode” (fifth if you count the combined form with Smokescreen). While not an official mode at the time of the toy’s original release, this "fan mode” was given life in the third chapter of "The Road to Legends’ Rivival” in the Legends comic. This mode also requires the use of Smokescreen’s missile launchers plugged into Dreadwing’s hands. The same sculpt was also used to make a barely-released new form of the original Megatron under the Generation 2 line, as well as Beast Wars II BB, 2001 Robots in Disguise Dreadwind, and Robotmasters Gigant Bomb.

Smokescreen (Decepticon, 1994)
Japanese ID number: TRF-10
Accessories: Two launchers, two missiles

Available only with his larger partner Dreadwing, Generation 2 Smokescreen transforms into a fighter jet of undetermined (probably made-up) model. He has two side-mounted spring-loaded rocket launchers that become hand-weapons in robot mode. He can combine with Dreadwing’s vehicle mode to form the large stealth bomber jet. For some reason he came with an Autobot-style instruction book that instructed you to put Smokescreen’s forehead sticker on the center of Dreadwing’s face.
Smokescreen’s arms are misassembled, as his thumbs end up on the outside of his fists in robot mode and upper arms have an exposed screw on the exposed side.
This sculpt was also used to make a barely-released new form of the original Starscream under the Generation 2 line, as well as Beast Wars II Starscream, 2001 Robots in Disguise Smokejumper, and Robotmasters Smokesniper.
