Title:
Swindle Robot Mode
Description:
Swindle (Deluxe Class, 2007)
TakaraTomy ID number: MD-11
Known designers: Alex Kubalsky (TakaraTomy), Joe Kyde (deco artist), Ken Christiansen (concept artist) «
Released in the third wave of Transformers Deluxe Class figures, Swindle transforms into an unlicensed approximation of a Chevrolet Cobalt. Appropriately, he’s based the lens-headed Decepticon version of the sedan drone type from Transformers The Game.
During transformation, his Automorphing gimmick automatically flips out his head/chest section from his upper torso. His abdomen features a spring-loaded cannon that extends when a button on his back is pressed. This cannon gimmick can also be used in car mode, where it looks like a super-turbo-nitro exhaust pipe. His head has a long strip of clear plastic on top to illuminate his mono-eye.
This mold was later redecoed into Camshaft.
