Description:
Sergeant Noble / Tailpipe & Pinpointer (Human Alliance Basic, 2011)
Japanese ID number: DA25
KSergeant Noble / Tailpipe & Pinpointer (Human Alliance Basic, 2011)
Japanese ID number: DA25
Known designers: Andrew Scribner (deco artist)
Part of the second wave of Basic-class Dark of the Moon Human Alliance toys, the Targetmaster-like Pinpointer comes with the triple-changer, Tailpipe, and is effectively a triple-changer himself, with motorcycle backbox/gun turret, robot and handgun modes. He has a 5mm post that allows Tailpipe or any MechTech figure to hold him in weapon mode, and the dual gatling guns on his back can be raised over his shoulders to fire overhead in robot mode. Earlier releases of this figure made it almost impossible to get him to attach as the backbox / turret mode, but later releases have fixed this problem. He effectively has two arm configurations; the official one has the silver barreled fists, but you can also rotate the elbows to make the black shoulder kibble into his forearms—even having fist-like finger detailing—which gives him more of a heavy brawler look. The general head and body sculpt, along with the black shoulder kibble resembling wings, give Pinpointer a definite bat-like appearance. This may have been intentional, given his job as a pinpointer is to locate targets for his partner.Entertainingly, he’s sized much better than Sergeant Noble to ride Tailpipe in motorcycle mode.nown designers: Andrew Scribner (deco artist)
