Released in the third wave of Animated Deluxes with his larger partner Soundwave, Laserbeak transforms into what appears to be a flying Dean Razorback V electric guitar. Not to scale, but still awesome. In either mode, Laserbeak can clip onto Soundwave’s roof in vehicle mode or forearms in robot mode. In guitar mode, Soundwave can naturally hold him in a playing position.
The TakaraTomy version of Laserbeak, released in the second wave of Animated product, is almost identical to the Hasbro version, but has painted red eyes.
This mold was later used to make Knights of Unicron Laserbeak.
